Terms of sale

Last updated 22 October 2026

These terms apply when you buy a CrewCast Puck from the shop on wifi.crewcast.online. They are written for consumers in Denmark and the rest of the EU; your statutory rights are not limited by anything here. Businesses and rental houses that want several pucks on invoice should write to us.

Prices and payment

Prices are in Danish kroner and include 25 % Danish VAT. For deliveries to other EU countries the VAT of the destination country is applied at checkout. Shipping is shown and added before you pay. Payment is by card through Stripe; the amount is charged when the order is placed, or, for a pre-order, when the puck ships.

Reservations and pre-orders

A reservation made by e-mail is not an order and costs nothing; we write to you when a puck is ready for you, and you decide then. If we take pre-orders with a saved card, the card is charged only when the puck ships, and you can cancel free of charge at any time before that by writing to us. We tell you the expected shipping month when you pre-order and again if it moves.

Preview edition

The first pucks are sold as a preview edition: the v0.2 board, hand-built in small batches. They are CE marked on the basis of the radio module's certificate and are sold for use in the EU only; they have no FCC approval and may not be used in the United States. The rights of withdrawal and complaint below apply in full.

Order confirmation

You receive an order confirmation by e-mail from Stripe on our behalf. The contract is concluded when we send the shipping confirmation. If we cannot deliver, for example because a batch sells out, we tell you and refund the payment in full.

Delivery

We ship from Denmark to addresses in Denmark and the EU with PostNord or a comparable carrier, normally within 5 working days of the order. Pucks contain a lithium battery and ship as "lithium batteries contained in equipment", which is why we do not ship outside the EU for now. The risk of loss passes to you when the parcel is delivered.

14 days to change your mind

As a consumer you can withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving the puck, without giving a reason. Tell us by e-mail within the 14 days, then send the puck back within 14 days of telling us. You pay the return postage. We refund the full price and the original shipping within 14 days of receiving the puck back, using the same payment method.

You may unpack the puck, pair it and try it. If it comes back with more wear than that takes, for example scratches or a damaged case, we may reduce the refund by the loss in value.

Right of complaint

The Danish Sale of Goods Act gives you two years' right of complaint. If the puck has a defect it had when delivered, we repair it, replace it or refund it, and we pay the return shipping. Write to us first, with the serial number from the app's puck screen, so we can tell you where to send it. Normal wear, battery capacity loss over time, drops and water are not covered.

The app and firmware

The CrewCast WiFi app is free on the App Store and is not part of the purchase. The puck needs the app to be useful, and the app needs an iPhone or iPad with iOS 18 or later. We publish firmware updates through the app and intend to for the life of the product, but we cannot promise a specific feature or date. Channel advice from the app is advice: the law and the equipment manuals decide which frequencies you may use where you are.

Complaints

If we cannot agree, you can complain to the Danish Centre for Complaint Resolution (Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, naevneneshus.dk) or use the EU online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr.

Law

Danish law applies. Mandatory consumer protection rules in your own EU country apply to you regardless.
